!In 1883 Daniel Joines,acting as administrator of the Estate of Rober t Joines and the guardian of Reubin, Cleveland, and Moses Joines, presente d a petition to the Alleghany County Superior Court asking for permission to sal e the lands of Robert Joines. In the petition Daniel states that Robert Joi nes died in 1880 and that his wife Catherine had since remarried to George Evans. Daniel later returned to the Court and reported that the lan d had been sold for six hundred and fifty dollars. (Doc# 295) !Daniel returned to the Court several times during the next few year s to report on the administration of Robert's Estate. In 1884 Daniel pai d three hundred dollars for land in Ashe County. In 1885 Jordin Sullivan wa s listed as guardian in Ashe County. Catherine could have moved to Ashe Count y and taken Reubin, Cleveland, and Moses with her. (Doc# 296)
