Ezekiel Joines enlisted in the Confederate Army on 15 Oct 1863.
He was in Company I of the 61st Regiment of North Caroline Troops.
on the 18th Jan 1864 Ezekiel was admitted to the General Hospital in
Petersburg, Virginia with an injury to his left foot. On the 22nd of Feb
1864 Ezekiel was transferred to the Episcopal Church Hospital in
Williamsburg, Virginia. Five days later, on the 27th of Feb, Ezekiel
was released from the hospital and returned to duty. On May the 7,1864
Ezekiel's name appears on a receipt roll for clothing.
