In the 1830 Census of Lincoln County, North Carolina there is a listing for a Moses Joings.(Doc# 96) About this same time Moses Joines left Ashe County, North Carolina and migrated to McMinn County, Tennessee. It is possible that Moses traveled through Lincoln County on his way to Tennessee.
Moses settled in McMinn County, Tennessee and remained there until his death on the 14th of July 1848. He is buried in the Chesteua Cemetery near Madisonville, Tennessee.(Doc# 286)
