Notes for Donna Mary Coggins: Donna was the head waitress at Namio's Sherwood Forest restaurant in Madison, WI in early 1960's and later became a waitress of Rhodes Steak House in Madison working evenings.
A slip on the ice late in the 1970's crushed her left ankle, disabling her to perform her usual waitress duties and forcing her to retire. After prescribing various technological devices to induce bone growth to her shattered ankle, she was confined to a wheel chair for some time and later was rehabilitated to use a walking cane to get around.
Donna was a self-centered individual, with frail health throughout her life. She married Leland C. Jones twice; the 2nd time in the mid 1960's in Madison, WI. Strong willed and opinionated, she was a survivor. After divorcing Leland Jones for the 2nd time, she married Benjamin Yamano of Japanese descent in Madison, WI. Ben later died of throat cancer. Donna later married Sidney Sperstad of Oregon, WI; later moving to Sierra Vista, AZ. Donna's cremains were buried in Highland Memorial Gardens, Cottage Grove WI. Inurnment took place on Saturday, July 19, 1997. Gunderson Funeral Home in Monona provided services.
