I am currently researching several branches of my family and that of my husband's. As of this writing, I have information on the KLINEDINST family from York, Pennsylvania dating back to the 15th century. I will gladly give any of this information to those interested. I would also love any new information on the them. I am now interested in the LAU's of York. I have some information on them. Henry KLINEDINST married Sarah J. Lau in 1853. I believe her parents were Daniel and Anna Mary?! I need to confirm this.
I also have information on the LEESE family of York. I am able to go back to 1741 with the arrival of Lorenz Liss(Lawrence Leese). At this time, I am interested in the EMIG'S of York. I am told that the town of Emigsville was named in honor of a member of the family to which Anna Maria EMIG belonged to. She was my husband's great-great-great-great grandmother. She was born October 26, 1798 probably in York. I haven't been able to connect her to the family of EMIGSVILLE. I am desperate to do that. Anna Maria EMIG married Daniel LEESE on January 4, 1820 in York. She and Daniel LEESE had eleven children together. Their fifth child was George LEESE. George was my husband's gggggrandfather. Anna, Daniel, and George are all buried in the Prospect Hill Cemetery in York,PA. George was married to Amelia Julian BLETCHER. Her father was Abraham BLETCHER and her mother was Julian Miller. I would love any info on them. I am also researching the Knoertzer and Opp family lines.
I also have lots of info on the TIPTON family of TN. I am especially interested in the descendants of Colonel John Tipton's second son, Benjamin (1755-1807). My great grandmother's name was Lula TIPTON and she was born in KNOXVILLE, TN on March 24, 1893. Her father's name was Benjamin TIPTON and he was born in TN December 23 of 1843. Benjamin's father was Jacob TIPTON (1815-1882) and his mother was Dorcas DAVIS (1815-1881). I believe that Dorcas DAVIS may be part Cherokee Indian. I am anxious to confirm this. I am interested in Dorcas DAVIS' parents as well. Lula's mother's maiden name was Sarah Ellen DIXON(1849-1896). Sarah died April 15, 1896. I believe that Sarah Ellen's parents were David DIXON/DICKSON and Elizabeth/Betsey Steelman. I would love more information on them as well. If anyone has information on any of the above mentioned surnames, I would be very grateful. I am also willing to share any information that I have accumulated.
I have also begun research on my husband's mother's side of the family. I need information on Thomas SECCOMBE. He was born in Plymouth, Devon, England about 1791. His wife's name was Eliza ALLARD. She also was born in England. John H.C. SECCOMBE was their son and he married Elizabeth PATRICK of Baltimore, MD. I also need information on Lorenzo D. PATRICK. He was Elizabeth PATRICK'S father. Elizabeth PATRICK and John H.C. SECCOMBE were the parents of Mary Augusta SECCOMBE who was born March 19, 1884 in Baltimore.
The STREB's, TRAGESER's of Baltimore are of interest as well. I have recently been given several generations of the STREB's of Somborn, Germany.
I am interested in Joshua JONES who married Susan FRIFOGLE (sp) in Baltimore Co., MD
Finally, I am interested in finding my dad's biological mother. He was born 19 Aug 1940 and finally I have found the name of his mother. Her name at the time of his birth was Viola Yolanda ANDERSON. Her husband at the time was Bengt Emanuel Anderson and he did not recognize my dad as his child. Further research found that Viola Yolanda's maiden name was MATAROZZA. I would love to talk to anyone in the MATAROZZA family that would be willing to share info.
