Notes for Elisabetha Borhi: Both Georg Zimits and Elisabetha Borhi's names are is listed in the marriage record of their daughter Kata and her son Janos, who were married on the same day.
Her last name is a little tricky. The modern Allentown, PA area phone book lists "Borhi" even as of 1996.
Szentpeterfa also has many, many "Borhi" residents and grave markers. I am unsure of the pronunciation but it probably goes something like "Boor-(g)hee".
She was residing in house #107 at the time of her death.
Her parentage is also somewhat of a mystery. She is likely a daughter of Adamus Borhi and Anna Temmel, and the age listed on her death record suggests a DOB of about 1801. However, no exact birth record can be located.
Adamus Borhi and Anna Temmel, her suspected parents, had 13 children between 1795 and 1821, with a steady gap of 2-3 years between each child. A "hole" exists however for the 1800-1803 timeframe where no child appears to have been born per the official baptism records. When I combine the existance of this "hole" to the fact that none of Adamus and Anna's other children received the name "Elisabeth" it hints strongly to me that "my" Elisabetha Borhi is indeed their daughter.
Why Elisabetha's baptism record cannot be found is a major mystery to me...was she baptised elsewhere??
