"...Kosmaczewski was a branch of the family which was the owner of Kepa (in the Plock Palatinate - the hamily 'Kepski'). Sedek, the eldest son of 'Piotr of Kepa', received in patrimonial division the village of Kosmaczewo and therefore adopted the name 'Kosmaczewski'. The family Kosmaczewski was undoubtedly part of the Polish Clan Jastrzebiec" .
