Jean M Jordan, 79, of 4325 N.E. 29th St. died of a heart disease Thursday at Mercy Hospital Medical Center. Memorial services will be at 10 am. Monday at Iles Grandview Park Funeral Home, and burial of the cremains will be in Sturgis SD., cemetery.
      Mrs. Jordan, a homemaker, was born in Vale, SD., and lived in Arizona, Washington and Montant before moving to Des Moines earlier thes year.
      She is survived by a son, Steve of Astoria, Or.; three daughters, Andra Crossett of Des Moines, Sally Wizner of Sturgeon Bay, Wi., and Penny Leffler of Woodenville, Wa.; a brother, Thomas MacKrell of Vale; three sisters, Jessie Bachand of Fountain Hills, Az., Alice Madsen of Escondido, Ca., and Gladys Viken of Helena, Mt,; seven grandchildren; and five great-granchildren.
      Memorial contributions may be made to Sturgis fMethodist Church.

Prayer services for George Lee Jordan were held April 29th in the Gibbons-Bunker Desert View Chapel, Mesa, Ariz., with Rev. J. Erben Moore, Jr., Velda Rose United Methodist Church, officiating.
Jordan was born August 14, 1913, in Deadwood, to Lee Andrew and Anna Marie Jordan, and moved to Sturgis as a child, following the death of his father. He graduated from Sturgis High School in 1931 and married Jean Marie MacKrell in 1935.
He will be remembered by many as an ardent sportsman, member of the Isaac Walton League, the Sturgis United Methodist Church, and a long-time employee of Lushbough's Hardware. In 1963 failing health forced his early retirement to Mesa, Ariz., where he resided until his death.
He is survived by his wife Jean, of Mesa; a son, Steve, of Astoria, Ore., three daughters; Mrs. Andra Crossett of Bloomington, Minn., Mrs. Sally Reinhardt of Mesa, Ariz., and Mrs. Penny Crigler of Astoria, Ore., five grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Julia Kenoyer, Sturgis; and a brother, LeRoy of Poway, Calif.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a baby daughter, Sherill Kay.
