He was a teamster boss for logging crew at Buckmans Saw Mill in Tres Padres, New Mexico. Amma went there as a bride. After 1903 he went up north as far as the saw mill sets in Myrtle Point, Oregon. Later they bought the ranch on Hanson Mesa at Hotchkiss, Colo. (data from son Melvin)

Church, 1853; was admitted to the North Ohio Conference, 1854, where he labored fifteen years; was ordained, 1856-8; entered the Union Army, 1864, and was commissioned Chaplain, 1865; was transferred to Colorado, 1869, where he labored for twenty-two years, then was placed on the retired list.
He was the author of the Beardslee-Beardsley Genealogy, published 1902 ( Rev. I.H. Beardsley)
