Genealogy is said to be as much an art as a science. It is ever growing and changing as new people enter the family and as old records are discovered that confirm or change existing knowledge. Genealogy is also said to be incestuous - so that if one of us makes a mistake many of us follow that lead also. Many of these "facts" are not proven, but have been handed down from loving ancestors. Consider this a trail to follow and not the ultimate destination. With that said, enjoy your heritage - it is an interesting and colorful one. If you have better or different information on some of these "facts" I'd be delighted to know it. January 2005 - mcj |
