Current research is on the ancestors and descendants of John and Penelope (Harwell) South who arrived in Henry Co.,GA in 1833 from Laurens Co.,SC. John South (b.1796 SC,d.1891 GA) is noted as "No further information" in Genealogical Notes on the South Family by Christine South Gee, published 1963. His complete life and 3 levels of descendants are known as well as his ancestors 3 generations back, into the colonial period of the early 1700s, late 1600s. Their children married: Sprayberry, White, Pattillo, and Carroll. Am interested especially in contact with South family groups to tie together early ancestors or expand descendant lists. Interested in South Family Reunion groups.
