I started my research in the early 1970's. This lead me to the town of Beverley in Yorkshire. My family moved to London in the 1870's. They first lived in the King's Cross area of London, and then moved south of the river to the Elephant & Castle in about 1920. The next move was to Peckham prior to WW2. I still live, unfortunately, in the Peckham area. Although the more affluent members of my family have moved to the up-market area of Welling! |
