This is a photo of my parents,Carl Vernon Allen and Barbara Ann Shaw-Allen; abt.1947 in Italy. They are with a friend,Terri,on the right. My mother was in the ATS(the British women's army) and my father was an American Army GI during WWll.
They met while they were both stationed in Italy.
My mother came to America on the Queen Mary where my father was waiting for her in New York. They then married in January,1949,in Ohio.
