The Newland and Bacon families came to Potter County in Dakota Territory in the 1880's and placed patents on land in the area surrounding Gettysburg at that time. The Newlands came from Michigan and the Bacons immigrated from Ontario, Canada.
The Larson family came to Gettysburg in the early 1920's from Kingsbury County in southeastern South Dakota.
I would appreciate any contributions to this family tree and would respond to any inquiries also.
