My Parents Gustav Kadach and Edith (Schactschneider) emigrated along with their families to Canada and USA respectively, in the early 1950's After being forced from their homes in Volynia, Poland during WWII where my ancestors lived in German comunities. They were maried in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada and settled in Racine, Wisconsin. We moved to San Jose, CA in 1969. I am researching my surname (Kadach), it's origin and posibly it's meaning. I am also interested in my maternal family tree (Schactschneider). Any information would be greatly appreciated.
