My Friend family came to America from Sweden in 1649. They first settled in Pennsylvania, moving on to Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, Ohio, Arkansas, and Illinois. My great, great grandfather, George Friend was born in 1825, Springfield, Illinois, and died in Chicago, Illinois in 1902. His daughter, Flora Isabelle Friend married Paul G. Kruger and moved to Washington, and then on to California. |
