Kane [Last Will & Testament] Thomas Holinshead (1777 - 1848), husband to i) Jane (abt. 1781 - 1826 & ii) Margaret (1775 - 1850) LAST WILL & TESTAMENT Dated 6th of August 1836 Extracted from the Principal Registry of the Probate Divorce and Admiralty Division of the High Court of Justice In the Prerogative Court of Canterbury I Thomas HOLINSHEAD of Kettlewells in the parish of Saint Michael in the County of Hertford Farmer do make this my last will and testament as follows that is to say I appoint my wife Margaret HOLINSHEAD and my eldest son Thomas HOLIJNSHEAD Executrix and Executor thereof And I direct them to pay all my just debts funeral and testamentary expenses as soon as conveniently may be after my decease I give and bequeath unto my said wife all that my leashold mefsuage with the appartenances being number 5 on the south side of Boston Street Lifson Grove in the County of Middlesex and all that my other leasehold mefsuage and appartenances being number 14 on the south side of Tichborne Street Edeware Road in the said County of Middlesex To hold the said two mefsuages or tenements with the appartenances unto my said wife (next 2 sentences very hard to read on my copy) for ?? ?? ?? ?? as a ?? the same to ?? such of my children as my said wife shall by her last will and testament appoint And in default of such appointment I give and bequeath the same to such of my children as shall be living at my said wife’s decease in equal proportions if more than one I give and bequeath all my household goods furniture plate china linen farming stock and implements in husbandry growing crops money and securities for money debts and all other my personal estate and effects whatsoever unto my said wife and my seven children that is to say Thomas Elizabeth Jane William John Frederick and Sarah to be equally divided between my said wife and children or such of them as shall be living at my decease And I direct that each of my sons shall be entitled to his share on attaining the age of twenty one years and that each of my daughter shall also be entitled to her share on attaining the same age or marriage with consent of my said wife which shall first happen And hereby revoking all former wills by me at any time herefore made I declare this writing only contained in one sheet of paper to be and contain my last will and testament I witnefs whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the sixth day of August in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty six.
