William Collyer was born circa 1792 (parents unknown)in Ivinghoe. He married Mary Marie (Maria) Lines on March 29, 1830 at Ivinghoe, Buckinghamshire, England. She was born circa 1809 in Luton, Bedfordshire, England. William Collyer was ordained in 1834 at the Baptist Chapel in Ivinghoe. William preached as Minister of the Baptist Chapel until his death in 1879, serving for 48 years at the Chapel. He is father of Lucy Jane (Jennie) Collyer who married William Hollingshead / Holinshead at Ivinghoe, Buckingham, England on October 31,1865 at St. Mary the Virgin, Ivinghoe. They (William & Jennie) immigrated to Canada in the late 1860's & settled down at Fairy Lake, in the District of Muskoka, Huntsville, Ontario, Canada. They had 11 children, they are - Tom, Frank, Sam, Emily, Giff, Monty, Alfred, Hannah, Kate, David & Lucy Victoria.
