Some were related to Harold Maurice Abrahams, who won the 100 meters Gold in the Paris 1926 Olympics, which was the basis of the movie "Chariots of Fire" Some of the names I would like to know more about are: Leslie Solomon, Esther Barnett, Marjorie Nansey The original Isaacs brothers and sisters, born in the mid 1800's are: Kaley, Ivor, Sofia, Leah (Libbey), Abraham Aaron, Samuel and Coleman and Rachel. My other branch are the Kaplans, originally from Lithuania, who emmigrated to South Africa, and settled in Oudshorn, Cape, at the beginning of the century. The brothers and sisters are: Samuel Aaron, Moses (whose son Harry canged the last name to Copelyn), a sister who married a Weinstein, and had daughters Eva and Sarah, a sister who maried a Lazarus, and had Jean, Ian, Morris, Annie and Leah who were all born between 1900 and 1910,a sister who married an Eliason, and had Solly and Hilda,a brother who had a daughter Hillary, who married Joseph Lewin. I am also very interested in the Guggenheim family. Daniel b: 1740, son Samuel b:14 Jun 1764, son Salomon b: 9 Jun 1794, married Adele Emilie Bikard and lived in Randedgg, Germany, family dispersing to USA, Switzerland or staying in Germany. Also, any relatives of the Bloch family. Libmann Eliezer Bloch b: 1720 married Beyele Wahl, son Judas b: 1753 married Juttel Hillenfinger (b: 1742) and had 2 children, Liebman and Minkel. Most of the family lives in Switzerland and France as far as I know. I may have many facts wrong, so would appreciate any contact for corrections and sharing information.
