Marilyn Frances Kasules | In the late 1700's and early 1800's, the Campbell, Cavender, Jones, Thaxton, and Thomas families migrated from Virginia and Pennsylvania into the hills and valleys of the Great Kanawha River Valley in what was to become West Virginia. They farmed, timbered, fought on both sides in the Civil War, and raised large families. As a result, I can call most people I meet in Kanawha County a "cousin." |
