The Shelnutts are from Franklin County Alabama.
The Streets are from Unicoi County, Tennessee and Yancy County, N. Carolina before that.
What I'm really interested in finding out is if any of them are Confederate soldiers. My 11 year old son wants to be a member of the Sons of the Confederate Veterans.
I have found many relatives that I haven't seen in years. I am also trying to grt everyone to go to Alabama (the Shelnutts) the second Sunday in June for a reunion. This has been a tradition for many years.
