Welcome to our site! You'll find extensive reseach, family stories, and photographs for the surnames: Bailey, Beason, Bison, Bliven, Clos, Harp, McGinnis, Rattel, Rattle, Rettel, Scott, Weckman, Zink. Our family pioneers settled primarily in Wisconsin and Minnesota, but include Illinois, Iowa, New York and Pennsylvania, and are documented back to the late 1700's. Census records indicate that most of the ancestors emigrated from Prussia, France, Germany and Luxembourg. My current work is trying to find the naturalization records that will provide the link to the original homelands. There are over 850 individuals in my family database, so feel free to look around; you may find we share the common bond of family. My goal of sharing a lifetime of research is to build a bridge to find each other. To this goal, you will also find links to correspond with living descendants. In most cases, the vital information contained in these pages is supported by original source documentation. If I have an answer to the riddle you've been working on, just send an email and I tell you exactly where to go for a copy of your own. In other cases, you'll find the current riddles that I'm trying to solve. If you have information that might shine a bit of light on the question, I invite your comments, questions and valuable perspective. Much of the newest Rattle family entries were the result of a Family Reunion July 2007 for the descendants of Nicholas Rettel, Michael Rattle, Ralph Rattle, and Russell Rattel. I hope to hear from you soon!
