The Herbert Eugene Revere and Lulu Edith Boughton Home Page
My grandfather, Herbert E. Revere, began tracing his and his wife's family trees in 1922. He recorded the data in a journal specially printed for that purpose. When I saw his journal, I noticed that the handwriting in it was almost exactly like my own. I felt right then that it was my responsibility to carry on his work. Herbert Revere was a direct descendant of the famous midnight rider, Paul Revere. My grandmother, Lulu Edith Boughton, was descended from John Bouton, who came to America in 1635. When I was a child, my grandfather spoke about Paul Revere often. I am proud to carry on a Revere family tradition. I am also happy to discover other members of my family who all played a part in making this country great. |
