Marriage Notes for PEARL GULLIVER and RAYMOND BRIDGLAND: Ray was employed at the Armour Leather Company, and later by the Lycoming Division of AVCO. They lived at 1399 Almond Street in Williamsport, PA. My mother remembers her Aunt Pearl made the most delicious fudge and most of all her Orange Sponge Cake with Orange Icing dripped on it. One of my mother's favorite stories about her Aunt Pearl and her own mother was the time her mother Martha was upstairs in their home on Scott Street, when she heard a noise outside. She looked out the upstairs window and there was a man looking in the downstairs window. Just then Pearl came into the room and yelled at him as she threw the "P" pot down on top of him. I can just imagine the look on my Grandmother's face after that, because Aunt Pearl was a small person. Ray helped lay the corner stone at the Calvary Methodist Church. Pearl and Ray have one son, Dorland Bridgeland. |

He enlisted in the Army before the Second World War and was stationed in Texas. He met and married Mildred Helen Striedel. They returned to Williamsport, PA after his discharge from the service. Edward worked for the Williamsport Textile Company on Memorial Avenue and Oliver Street for awhile. They then returned to Texas. Edward loved to go fishing with his "Pop" (George Gulliver) and told of one time when George stepped into a deep hole in the creek, while wearing waders.
