THE KEAHEY FAMILY GENEALOGY INFORMATION PAGE

Updated December 31, 2004

Larry & Phyllis Keahey

palsent@aol.com

The Keahey clan are a Sept of the Clan Donald of Scotland. The first documented trace that we have of our ancestors is in Richmond County, North Carolina, where William MacKeachey and his son's John, James and George appear on the 1780 census. We are searching for any information from William back to Ireland and Scotland. Most of the information that I have is taken from the "Keahey Clansman" and the "Keahey Clansman Revisited", by Emma Barrett Reeves, which have been out of print since the late 60's to early 70's respectively. Addition information and updates are from you, our family.

If you have any additional information or updates please feel free to contact us so we can keep information current.

Thank you,
Larry Keahey

This page is also dedicated to memory of my dad, Darrel Earl Keahey. He went to his heavenly reward, June 9, 2000. The following would be his message to all of you.

Iím Free

Donít grieve for me, for now Iím free.
Iím following the path God laid for me.
I took His hand when I heard Him call,
I turned my back and left it all.

I could not stay another day, to laugh,
To love, to work or play.
Tasks left undone must stay that way,
I found the peace at the close of day.

If my parting has left a void, then fill it with
Remembered joy, A friendship shared, a laugh,
A kiss: Ah yes, these things I too shall miss.

I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow.
My lifeís been full, Iíve savored much
Good friends, good times, a loved oneís touch.

Lift up your heart and share with me,
God wanted me now: ďHeís set me free.Ē

Till we meet again.
Love forever.
Darrel
