Hello All!I am conducting family research of my ancestors, from both sides of the family, KEAN and EDWARD. The KEAN family came from Ireland and started in Australia in the 1840's, with the arrival of Martin KEAN, his new wife Alice RYAN and son Edward, born in Tipperary in 1832.

The EDWARD side of the family hails from Co. Angus in Scotland. First arrivals in Australia are Alexander Boyd EDWARD and Mary Ann FLYNN in the 1850's.

I do not at this stage know anything about the lives of the KEAN's and EDWARD's before they came to Australia, so I would be interested to find out more about earlier generations.
