Sheppard Shepard Shepherd Shephard Family Connections

Updated September 5, 2000

The Sheppard Family Association was formed in Summer 2000 to respond a growing need to coordinate the efforts of individuals researching Sheppard, Shepard, Shepherd, and Shephard family lines. Many Sheppard researchers hit roadblocks after finding three or more generations because of the variant spellings of the name. A Sheppard may become a Shepard in a previous generation only to have an ancestor spell his name Shepherd and Sheppard at the same time. The SFA will undertake a one-name study for the Sheppard surnames and its variants and serve as a clearinghouse for individuals wishing to share information on Shep genealogy and family history. Anyone wishing to contribute information to this page, may contact SFA at the address located on this page.
