Hi there. I am currently researching the Artz side of my family tree. So far we go back to 1865 when George Artz was born on April 5 in Udem Holland. He married Elizabeth Van Bentum who was also born in 1865. George and Elizabeth came to this country on their wedding trip. They had their children between the years of 1890 and 1905 in the states of Illinois, Indiana, Arkansas, Michigan and Wisconsin. George was a cooper by trade and a farmer. He sold real estate in later years. He sold the elevator in Oconto to George and Charles Lane who were the first "Lane & Son". During WWII he resumed his coopers trade for a Milwaukee brewery. George died on December 10, 1953 in Milwaukee, WI and Elizabeth died December 1, 1935 in Appleton, WI.
Any information would be greatly appreciated in either direction. Please e-mail me.

I am also researching the surnames of LANE, RATH, BURT, KNUTSON,RESHESKE, and WRYSINSKI. I hope to have information up on these names soon.

Thanks for stoppping.
