This tree traces my mother's family lines. She was born Jeanne Marie Marshall (1927) in Auburn, NY to Francis C. and Alice (Campbell) Marshall' b. 1894/1892 Waterloo/Seneca Falls NY respectively.
The Marshall family moved here from the Wingen, Alsace France area sometime after 1854. The family changed the name to Marshall in the US. Christian Marshall established a very successful cooperage in Waterloo, Seneca County which lasted several generations.
The Campbell line started with Thomas D. and Rose (McGough) Campbell who settled in the Geneva, Ontario County area. Another McGough researcher indicated that it is likely that Thomas and Rose met onboard the ship that transported them to the US or that they knew each other in Dundalk, Co.Louth, IRL.
Both the Marshall and Campbell families lived for several generations in the Seneca County area of upstate NY.
