| I am researching the KEENEY and KARMAZIN families from Deweese, Ne. Don A. Keeney, born in Chicago, Ill. in 1845, enlisted in the Union Army during the Civil War, serving two years in Company K. 17th Illinois Cavalry until the end of the war. About 1871, he moved to Nebraska. Frantisek Karmazin Sr. and Marie (Kozel) Karmazin were born and married in Nove Mesto, Moravia. They had six children: Thomas V., Frank, Jr., Leopold, Frantiska (Karmazin) Hiavac, Maria and Antonia. In 1883 they came to Fairfield, Ne. and then to the famr south of Deweese, Ne. Any information would be appreciated. I am also willing to share the information that I have. |
