H. T. Honea of Mabank Dies; Rites Monday
Funeral services for Hiram Townsend Honea, 79, who died at his home eight miles east of Mabank Sunday morning, were held Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Elm Grove Church.
The services were conducted by Rev. Meredith of Walton, and were followed by interment in the Elm Grove Cemetery. The Athens Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Honea was born in Alabama on November 7, 1864, and moved to the Mabank community about fifty years ago.
Surviving are his wife; five daughters, Mrs. J. J. White, of Dallas; Mrs. Fred Pipes, Mrs. Edward Turrentine and Mrs. Marthie Harris, of Mabank, and Mrs. Roy Cochrane, of Fort Worth; two sisters, Mrs. Emma Hall, of Mabank, and Mrs. Laura Lemance, of Weatherford, and thirteen grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

Funeral Rites For Mrs. Sarah Honea Held at Elm Grove
Funeral services for Mrs. Sarah Lorena Honea, who died at the hoje of a daughter, Mrs. Effie Pipes, in Mabank, Wednesday morning at 9:30 o'clock, were held Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Elm Grove Church.
The services were conducted by the Rev. Frank Johnson, with burial following in theElm Grove Cemetery.
Grandsons served as pallbearers.
The Carroll & Lehr Funeral Home in Athens was in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Honea was born in Van Zandt County on February 28, 1870, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. William Sullivan. She was married to Hiram T. Honea on November 15, 1888, in Van Zandt County. He died on January 9, 1944.
She lived at Phalba in Van Zandt County for fifty years, and moved to Mabank two years ago to make her home with Mrs. Pipes.
Surviving are five daughters, Mrs. Pipes, Mrs. C. H. Teet, Mrs. Bessie Harris and Mrs. Virgie Cochrane, all of Mabank, and Mrs. Emma Turrentine of Dallas; one brother John Sullivan of Mabank; one sister, Mrs. Martha Westmoreland of Mabank, and fourteen grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.

Funeral services for Miss Maggie Honea, 87, were held at 2 p.m. Monda in the Keever Chapel with Willard Tedford of the Gilmer St. church of Christ officiating. Interment was in Myrtle Cemetery under the direction of J. E. Keever Mortuary with the Following serving as pallbearers: Rex Simmons, Calvin Brunson, Alvin Brunson, Larry Raburn, Marty Raburn and Jimmy Don Johnson.
Miss Honea died Saturday at the Baylor Hospital in Ennis.
She was born November 30, 1901 in Van Zandt County Texas the daughter of John and Lula Kitchens Honea. She was reared in Van Zandt County, where she attended school. In 1925 she moved to the Crisp area with her family. She worked as a seamstress for Donovans for several years. She was a member of the Gilmer St. Church of Christ.
She is survived by one half-brother, S. L. Brunson of Ennis; a sister in law, Effie Mae Brunson of Garland; and a number of neices and nephews.
