The Cannan-Keesler Family Home Page

Updated September 6, 2000

I am currently researching the surname of Cannan. My great grandmother came to Philadelphia from Ireland. Her married name was Elizabeth Cannan. She had a son named Roland Cannan, Sr. who had my father, Roland Cannan, Jr. and then he had my brother Roland Cannan, III.
I am also researching the surname of Zaborsky. My great grandmother and my grandfather came to the states during WWII from the Alsace Lorraine region near the Carpathian Mountains in what was then Chekloslovakia (sp). They changed their name to Zabor once in the states. Am trying to find out the history behind this family name. Is it Jewish?

The my husband's side of the family are the Keesler (Kesler) and Berry families.

I am looking to information on two of the Zaborsky (Zabor) brothers. Any information on any of the above family names is appreciated.
