| Searching for information on Burton Lewis of West Virginia. He was born in Mason County Va, In 1858, Just before that area became part of West Virginia. I know that Burton married Amanda Smith of Putnam City on 12/28/1882, and that they had 3 daughters. They were Ernie, Burkie, and Ora. Burton and Amanda were married at John Smiths By George W Mathena, Witnesses to the Marriage were Nelson Mooday (Moody), and R (?) Smith. I have no information on what happened to Amanda. On 8/20/1890 Burton Lewis married Lucinda Francis Persinger, who was by family legend , an orphan. Together they had the following childred, Letcher, Isa, Goldie, Lena Myrtle, Sylvia, Lester, Charles Otmer,(my grandfather), Minnie, Rushia, Opa, and Delia. Burton died in the span from 1918 to 1923, Lucinda died in 1932. I am trying to find information on how Burton passed away, and in what area of West Virginia. I am also looking for any lost relatives. |
