| I am researching the KEHL family from Sedalia, Missouri. SURNAMES: Kehl, Schmidt, Hooker, Denner, Hartinger, Stults, Sappenfield John George Kehl Parents name: Ferdinand Kehl & Crescentia Hooker. I'm looking for information on Ferdinand & Crescentia. Also trying to connect Francisco Kehl, born in 1861 in Germany to Ferdinand Kehl, Born in Baden(?), Germany. John George Kehl came to America from Germany, at the age of 18, in 1865(?) with three brothers and two Sisters. Jacob - Joseph - Fredrick - Mary - Magdaline According to Naturalization papers John George Kehl came over from the port of Havre, France. Leaving there on the 2 or 3 of August 1866 arriving port of New York on August 30, 1866. To his nearest recollection John states the vessel was named "Tampico". He was born in Ewattingen, Amt (means judicial of) Bonndorf, Baden, Germany. John married Mary Katherine Schmidt who was born June 16, 1853 on ship while enroute to this country from Germany. Any information would be appreciated. I am willing to share the information that I have. |
