| I'm researching my roots with the following names: KELLEY, ILES, PALMER, MILLER, CHASTAIN, YORK, DRISKILL, WALKER, HADLEY with locations in: VA, TN (cocke county, knoxville, and others), OK (El Reno, Oklahoma City, & others), TX (Van Zandt county, Montague county, and others), AR (Blytheville and others), KS (Smith Center, Wellington, Caldwell, possibly Miami county, and others) In particular, I'm looking for information on the following people: Jessie Marie Chastain b. 1922 - married to Carl Miller - died as a young woman Claude "Red" Iles - train engineer - lived in Oklahoma - had three brothers - child named Rolla Iles - one brother said to have gone north to ND or Nebraska - one brother was killed on the railroad in KS - the other brother reportedly became an outlaw Ancestors of David Driskill who was born February 3, 1818 in VA and showed up in the 1850 Cocke county, TN census - I found another David Driskill in that census that could be his father born in 1775 in VA. Alma Rene Walker - born June 17, 1908 at Wills Point, Van Zandt county, TX - died in Blytheville, Arkansas in April of 1977 UPDATE: I have some new Iles information, and should be posting this shortly. |
