I am currently researching several surnames. The most pertinent at this time are Kelly, Graham, Chappell, Drehmer, Burnham, Andrews, Thompson (Thomsen, Thomason, Nilson, Neilson, Nillson), and Leggett. The geographical areas include Massachusetts, Vermont, New Hampshire, New York, Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, Florida and Texas. Kelly family emigrated from Ireland during the potato famine and lived in Indiana, Ohio, Georgia and Florida.

Graham family - paternal g.g.g. grandmother's bible lists a number of Grahams. See my postings on www.genforum.com - search Barbara Kelly-Thompson

Chappell family - We are currently stymied on this line. It ends in Canada (Sutton Brome? Quebec). The last known of this line is Enos Chappell.

Drehmer family - There is a new Drehmer surname page on Genforum, but it is all from this one branch. We could use some new info.

Burnham - These would be from Quebec.

Andrews - The only info on this line is my ggg grandfather - Fred Walton Andrew. He had at least two sons - Arthur & John, twins. John is my ggrandfather and was born in Mass.

Thompson - Searching two lines of Thompsons (my hubby is a double Thompson). The first is the Thompson (Thomsen, Thomasen, Neilson, Nillson, Nilson) line from the patriarch Thomas Nilson from Denmark. They emigrated to the U.S. through New Orleans Port in the 1870's and settled in Texas - Lexington, Dallas & Austin areas. Would especially like info on decedents of this family. The 2nd is true Thompsons - Dallas area.

The Leggett branch would be from the Kansas area. I would like any info. I have only a couple of names from late 19th century - Charles Leggett father of "Tressie" Leggett.

I am willing to share all of the info I have on any of these families. Thank you.
