Carl Adolphus Kelly (son of Robert L Kelly and Alice Roberson) was born May 14, 1888 in , Graves, KY, and died November 07, 1983 in Paducah, KY. He married Margaret Adella Howard on October 03, 1908, daughter of Philip Howard and Emily Elizabeth (Emma) Douthit.

!Carl was a farmer, carpenter, general contractor, and church leader. He lived in Tennessee n ear Paris, Graves County Ky, and Independence, MO. Other places were McCracken County KY, an d Ft. Meyers, FL - all during the early years. Carl and Adella moved to central Florida in th e mid 1940s and lived there until well after retirement. They returned to Paducah, KY in 196 6 where they lived until death.

Carl was a WWI veteran, a seargant, who served in Europe and was a mounted soldier in the hea vy field artillery. Grandson Carl Neal has helmet and gas mask used by Carl.

Carl's family originated around Beech Grove and a number of his family are buried in the Beec h Grove Cemetery.
