I am researching the ancestors of the Carroll KELLOR & Florence PESCHEL family. The primary surnames I am researching are:KELLOR, PESCHEL, SLINDE, ARNOLD, PLEDGER, WESSELS, MEIXNER, TOLLEFSON and FEMRITE. DANIEL KELLOR, b. about 1809 (wife Elizabeth) arrived in Dane County, Wisconsin from Prince Edward County, Ontario, Canada around 1859; at least one adult child, CHARLES BESTOR, appears to have made the move with him. The Kellor name appears to have several variant spellings, including KELLER and KELLAR. That line also includes Eleanor PLEDGER, born in 1842 in Town of Murray, Northumberland County, Ontario, to Charles PLEDGER and Phoebe WESSELS. The FRANK PESCHEL and JOSEF ARNOLD families emigrated to the Waterloo, Wisconsin area from Bohemia in the mid-1800s. The SLINDE and TOLLEFSON families are from the Sogn, Norway area and settled in Dane County, Wisconsin, in the 1860s. I'm interested in exchanging information with anyone who has information that may relate to these names. |
