| Just starting out on my search. Will update this page as more information is obtained. The following is a very brief family history. Searching for KELLY family. Have been able to trace the family back to "John Alexander KELLY". John Alexander Kelly was born on or about December 29, 1821 in Ohio. He died July 19, 1885 in Huggins, Texas County, Missouri. On or about August 09, 1849, in Williamson County, Illinois, John Alexander Kelly married "Mary Janete (Polly) Hinchcliff". John Alexander Kelly's father was named 'John Kelly'. It is believed that John Kelly came to America from England. Mary Janette "Polly" Hinchcliff was born in 1834 in Franklin County, Illinois. She died January 22, 1913 in Oakdale, Antelpoe County, Nebraska, where she had moved after marrying a man with surname of 'Marshall'. John Alexander Kelly and "Polly" had 6 children. The third child was Alfred Kelly, born March 02, 1855, in Fredonia, Williamson County, Illinois. Alfred married Julia Ann Huggins on July 13, 1872 in Texas County, Missouri. Alfred died on June 03, 1932 in Upton Township, Texas County, Missouri. Alfred Kelly and Julia Ann had several children, one of which was James Allen Kelly. James Allen Kelly was born on December 12, 1882 in Clarksville, Clark County, Arkansas. James Allen was married on September 01, 1901 in Texas County, Missouri, to Syrena Didama "Dama" Tuttle. James Allen died November 09, 1921 in Texas County, Missouri. "Dama" later married George W. Lingle, also a resident of Texas County, Missouri. "Dama" died on August 03, 1979 in Cabool, Texas County, Missouri. James Allen Kelly and "Dama" had 8 children, one of which was Albert Leslie Kelly, Sr. Albert Leslie Kelly, Sr. was born on September 18, 1917 in Huggins, Texas County, Missouri. In 1947 he married Ida Pauline Wilson (born January 18, 1925 in Platte City, Nebraska, and died October 18, 1962 in Brighton, Greene County, Missouri). I am the son of Albert Leslie Kelly, Sr. and "Pauline". Currently I am trying to trace the Kelly family back as far as possibly. Have no idea where my search will lead to. I am also looking at the various branches. Am willing to share information with others. |
