| I am currently researching my ancestors the Kelly/O'Flaherty from Ireland and the Sanger/Krause Family from Austria/Germany.The Manning/Courtney from Ireland, and the Maxwell/Griffin from Brooklyn N.Y. I have traced them back to arriving in this country in 1868 for the Kelly's and 1889 for the Sanger's, and in 1872 for Courtney, 1871 for Manning. I am now in the process of trying to trace their roots in both countries. My Great-Grandparents the Sanger's came to this country with thier sons Edward and Joseph( my grandfather)their daughter, Mary was born here. My Great-grandfather Patrick Kelly came here in 1870, his wife Sarah O'Flaherty in 1868, I just learned that their first child was born in Massachusetts, I have to assume that they arrived, met and married in Boston because their son Patrick(my grandfather)was born In New York If any one is associated with our families, feel free to contact me |
