Howdy Pardner!
We are currently researching paternal and maternal Kelleys.

Our paternal Kelleys lived in Kent County, Delaware during the Revolutionary War. Dennis Kelley (born in Sussex County, Delaware on 25 August 1758) served with the Delaware Troops. He moved his family to North Carolina in the 1790s and on to Wilson County, Tennessee in 1793.

Calvin Kelley, one of Dennis's grandson, moved his family to a town named Waxahachie in Ellis County, Texas around 1853. The majority of my direct family line still reside there.

Another of Dennis's grandsons, Commadore Kelley, had many descendants who moved to Oklahoma around the turn of the 20th century.

Our oldest maternal Kelley, John G. Kelley, was born about 1814 in South Carolina. He and his family moved to the Fayette County, Alabama area in the mid 1800s. Many of his descendants still reside there.

James Lee was born on the 14th of February, 1805 in South Carolina. His family also moved to Fayette County, Alabama where his youngest daughter, Ella Lee married Rufus Kelley, John G. Kelley's grandson.

We are currently trying to find:
1.Dennis Kelley's parents and/or siblings in Delaware.
2.Relations of James Lee in Alabama and/or South Carolina
3.Surnames; Kelley, Lee, Olive, Watkins and Crump in Alabama.

If any of these names ring familiar, let us know!

Regards, JT Kelley
