Hi I am John Kelly.Main lines of research at the moment include Kelly`s from Scotland. At this moment in time I have no connections with Kelly`s from Ireland, although I know most of the Scottish Kelly`s originated from there, there were some living here before the large scale emigrations in the 18th and 19th Century.
My Kelly`s also differ in that they were very active members of the Presbyterian Churches of Scotland. Earliest dates are circa 1800s in Torphicen,Armadale and Bathgate West Lothian, other later locations are Carnbroe in Airdrie and Bellshill in the county of Lanarkshire.

Caddies is my mothers surname, and I have information that ties them to Ireland in the late 1700s,from where they emigrated to Ayrshire and thence to Lanarkshire following employment in the coalmining industry. Locations include Cambusnethan (Wishaw), West Benhar (Harthill) and Tannochside (Uddingston) all in the County of Lanarkshire.

Other Surnames include Callison and Knight Paternal line.
Thomson and Glover in my Maternal line.

I would be delighted to here from anyone with info or queries
by email or snail mail at included address.
