| I am researching the Killackey family of Lisbryan, Ballingarry Parish, Tipperary County, Ireland. The family name has also been spelled Killacky, Kellackey, and etc.. Daniel Killackey was born about 1805 at Lisbryan. He married Saragh Tobin about 1830. They had five children: Hugh, John, Daniel, Michael, and Timothy. Daniel and Michael emigrated to Cleveland, Ohio, USA. They spelled their family name Kellackey. Daniel J. Killackey, grandson of the Daniel born about 1805, also emigrated to Cleveland, Ohio, and adopted the Kellackey spelling of his uncles. Daniel J. was born in 1865, and married Margaret Ellen Hyland. They are my grandparents. I am interested in all Killackeys, and am willing to share the information I have. Any information would be appreciated. |
