KOHLMETZ FAMILIES from Mecklenburg/Schwerin

After nearly 20 years of searching, my German heritage is finally revealing itself. The Kohlmetz families now are documented to Penzlin, and I hope to connect the other Kohlmetz families to my own at least to the 18th century. Of course, there may be errors, omissions, or additions.   Heinrich, aka Henry, was perhaps the first of this Kohlmetz family to emigrate from Penzlin. He was a successful iron manufacturer in Rochester, NY as early as 1860.
