Find Family

* The Keller's from Alexander County, NC*

Updated February 15, 2010

I am researching the Keller Family Tree. This family was living in Alexander County when Barney (Barnett) A. Keller (born about 1828 in NC) went to serve his country (1863?) in the Civil War. Barney was a Confederate Private who served in the 7th Regiment , NC Infantry, Company K. He died in Richmond, Virginia on July 16, 1864. His grave-site is unknown to me and who his parents are is also unknown. His first wife was Nancy Munday and children from this marriage were Manerva, James Jefferson and Mary (born 1855 and died June 7, 1935. She married John Munday). James Jefferson Keller is my great grandfather. Nancy (born 1832 and died Oct. 1, 1856) is buried in the Munday Cemetery in Alexander County. She apparently died from childbirth with the last child, Mary. Barney married his second wife, Hily Munday (abt. 1857) and they had three children, Rhoda Alezenia (1858), Samuel Cabrum (1861)and Calton A. Keller (1863). I want to find out any information about Barney and his parents. I will be glad to share any information that I have and would appreciate any replies.
