I am researching information on my maternal great-great grandfather, originally from Phoenixville, Chester County, PA.The family name is: MarionThe earliest record I have is of Dennis Marion, born in August 1797.I do know that several of his sons served in the Battle of Gettysburg and their names are inscribed on the Pennsylvania Monument in Gettysburg National Battlefield.Dennis Marion was married twice. His first wife died in 1848. I have no information about his second wife, although the family bible indicates he had two children (Dennis and Hannah Jane Marion) to the second union.Most of the information indicates the family continued to reside in Chester County, PA, although some members moved to Lancaster County, PA.My goal is to trace my family roots back to the Revolutionary War era or before. Any information will be greatly appreciated.
