I'm looking for information on Orey or Ora W. KIDNEY, born in Illinois (1/14/1863), married to Clara E. MARKHAM (FISHER/GRANDSTAFF-married several times). Parents of Nellie Nea (born 1/19/1897 in Guthrieson, IA), Mildred, Edward, Mae, Roy, Earl, Emma, and Hazel. Orey's father is unknown, but believe his mother was Nancy LEE, both being born in Ohio. Clara's parents were Martin MARKHAM and Emeline L. JENNINGS, believe New York born. They also had two sons, Laurel Clyde and Markham Vere. I have some pictures that were taken in Jefferson, IA, Glidden, IA, Guthrie Center, IA, and Carroll, IA in the early 1890's.
Nellie is my grandmother, she married Elmer Earl HERMLE, son of George Conrad HERMLE and Caroline S. FRYE. George's siblings consisted of Amelia, Edith, Louisa, Will, Otto, Charles and Lillian. George's parents were Conrad and Theresa (FISHER)HERMLE. Their children are: Emma, Mildred, Mae, Edward Conrad, Earl, Roy, Elmer Earl, Hazel.
I have hit a blank wall and would appreciate any help to get information on my family. I will gladly share what I have.
