This page shows relationships that are confirmed and unconfirmed, question marks indicate uncertainty about an individual. It is my belief that Rob, Tom, and Annie Jospehine "Joe" Jones' parents were York and Ann Jones, based on 1870 census records. There are other "Yorks" in the family, maybe now we understand where their names came from.
Please enjoy and go find all of those cousins you didn't know you had! This page includes data on the following families, who are all related in some way: York & Ann Jones (proposed) (children Rob, Tom, Annie Jo), Charlotte Spencer (children Gracie, Ida, and others), Ed Hollis (children Amos, Mattie, Eliza (1), others), Josephine Bartee (children Sylvester, Wesley, Jack, Joe, and others) and Venie Adams (children Bessie, Susie, Sam, John, Aaron, Andrew, and others). Based on my research, I believe that Rob Jones fathered at least one if not all of Venie Adams' children, thus they are proposed here. The elders in the Adams family as well as my grandfather, Sam Jones, knew each other as brothers and sisters.
Be sure and follow the instructions when viewing the family tree. There's a link you can click on that page to get to the instructions. The quickest way to get to the top of it is to hit the "F" key when you're on that page, and select the name "York (I) Jones)." The (I) just means he's the oldest person on the chart with that name. A (II) would have meant he was the second person with that name and so on. "?" Question marks symbolize unknown data. Some of this may not be right. E-mail any corrections you have to me at the address above.
