CAPTAIN JAMES KELL PAGEUpdated September 5, 2000 | |
| I am researching the decendants of James Kell. He was born near Carlisle, PA in 1760 and moved to Orange County, NC in 1763. He fought in the Rev. War where he became a Captain. He later moved to near Chester, SC, then to Rabun Co. GA and the to Gilmer County, GA.. Some of the Kell's in the Orange County, NC moved to Tennessee and to IL.I am also looking for a connection between Capt. James Kell and John Kell (b) 1736 (d) 1819, Thomas Kell (b) 1747, Robert Kell (b) 1751. These names are in the1790 Burke Co. & Surry County NC Census. Any information on this family would be appreciated. I have info on approx. 450 (including spouses) decendants of Capt. James that I am willing to share. |
