I have been researching my family tree for a number of years and now have 3400 names of family members in my master file. On one side I have William Gascoigne of early English history dating from 1040. Another link is the Stapletons, dating back to about 1100 in English royalty. I am looking for info on Robert E. Kelley who, according to his Civil War military papers, say he was born in Marion, Ohio, in 1841, and his nativity was Warren which could be Warren County, Indiana, because he was mustered into the Indiana Volunteers at Terre Haute in February, 1865, and died in March, 1865, at the U.S. General Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee. I would sure like to find his father and mother's names so I could continue my research on the Kelley family. I would also like info on the Shriner and Conrow families of Vermillion, Clay County, South Dakota. I just returned from a family reunion of the Downing, Cunningham, Kelley, Davis, and Greenough families. It was held on May 25, 2002 at Ute, Monona County, Iowa. My hometown. There were over 200 people there. I met cousins that I never even knew they existed. Thanks to the internet now all these people are aware of their family origin and have been brought together. ---Rolla Kelley |
